I just published my first Apple TV App. It’s TV Map, an app to look at maps at the TV. As Apple since now didn’t port their Apple maps on Apple TV, I felt that something is missing. The app uses OpenStreetMap as data source and shows 4 different map types. You can navigate with buttons or use the siri remote to drag the map.

iMac retina & Apple TV problems with mirroring

Found out what the problem was as my Apple TV only showed a black screen when trying to mirror the screen: When transferring from my old iMac AirParrot was transferred too, this App causing the problem.

Johannes Blog is back (and moved)

after a disk crash on my Synology NAS, I moved my backup files to a web hoster.

It took me a  short while to get it up and running. After changing wp-config.php it still wouldn’t run. Cause: There seems to be a small difference in the Synology installation. What did I do? I just overwrote my WordPress copy with a new version. That fixed it.
